McKenna Thompson

McKenna Thompson is a research scientist in the Safer Alternatives Assessment and Biomonitoring Section at California Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). Her work focuses on conducting studies of air pollutant exposures in California communities, as part of the Biomonitoring California Program. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing air monitoring and biomonitoring data, as well as sharing individual results with study participants and communicating key findings to the community.
McKenna earned her B.S. in Public Health from UC San Diego and her MPH in Environmental Health Sciences from UC Berkeley. She brings expertise in exposure assessment, environmental epidemiology, and community engagement, with a commitment to environmental justice at the core of all her work.
